Black and Gold of Victoria

About the Association

We are the Victorian branch of the Old Boys Association of D.S. Senanayake College in Sri Lanka. Inaugurated in the year 2008 to bring together the past students to celebrate our brotherhood through social activities, network among colleagues to rekindle memories and run projects that benefit the Association and the School back in Sri Lanka. D.S Senanayake College, which molds students according to the motto “Country before Self,” nurtured us across all races and religions as well as different walks of life. Sinhalese, Muslims, Tamils and Burgers all studied under one roof, united to fulfill the need to create virtuous citizens for the country and the world. Though we now reside in Australia, we strive to live the values instilled during our school years. Since its inception in 2008, Black and Gold of Victoria has organised very successful events and donated nearly $50,000 worth of assistance to our alma mater in Colombo, Sri Lanka for various projects, such as scholarships, sporting equipment and clothes. We welcome and encourage all past students of D.S Senanayake College residing in the State of Victoria to join the Association as we celebrate our 15th year of service.
